In 2020, we were sitting across a (very socially distanced) room listening to our fellow, newly-graduated coaches panic about how to turn their calling and certification into an actual business. Since our first meeting in September 2020, we’ve been on a shared mission to help God’s people get back to what He made them to do by helping them over the hurdles of building a business and brand.
We’ve worked with over 100 founders, from consulting at conferences to building custom websites (which we’ve done 20+ of) to every brand messaging package and logo suite in between. We believe you’re called and that you’re so brave for stepping into a world that is 2% your calling and 98% learning a whole new skillset to make that 2% possible. We are on your team, in spirit and in strategy, and we aren’t going to leave you out here on the mountain without a guide.

We know that you stepped into this calling thinking it was going to go one way, and here you are fighting a new battle daily (Websites? Legal? Taxes?). You’re brave—and you’re still called. In addition to the Press Publish package which includes your website template, you will need to purchase an Annual Business Subscription to Squarespace ($230 annually) and your domain(s) (typically around $20 each).
Other purchased you might be interested in making include: Custom fonts from Creative Market, a Pro Canva subscription, an email marketing system.

Before beginning Press Publish, you’ll need to create a Squarespace account, but please DO NOT create a website or purchase a Squarespace subscription. We will complete this step together on the workshop.

We’ll be using Slack (see below) as our messaging platform, Google Drive as our shared document storage, Squarespace as our domain and website hosting platform, and Gmail for additional communication. Our live workshop will be hosted on Zoom. You will not need to make any additional purchases for software, beyond what is listed in the point above.

You will receive an email with your Squarespace template the first day of our Curate Week. You’ll receive email instructions in your onboarding post-purchase that will walk you through how to install the template in your Squarespace account!

The short answer is probably not, you’ll likely feel overwhelmed in the prep stage. Come back next quarter!
The long answer:
Building and launching your website is the final step in the business and brand development process. To make a minimum lovable version of your website, you still need to have a determined visual brand, stock photos, copywriting (the words on your site), outlined offers, and next-step connections (forms and links) already set up. The Curate Week is just enough time to gather most of these pieces, but not enough time to craft a solid brand and business. We’d recommend grabbing our Website Planner for an overview of all the business and brand pieces you need before getting started on your website.

You’ll have one week of dedicated prep time before the workshop and one month of support after the workshop. The workshop itself is around 4 hours long. The prep period is typically the most intensive. To gather all of the necessary components to make the workshop day smooth and productive, we recommend budgeting 5-10 hours in that prior week to writing your website copy, gathering your image, and other pieces like that. All of this will be outlined in the Website Planner and you’ll receive regular Slack posts with action items.

The workshop will be hosted the week of February 19. As a cohort, we’ll choose a weekday and time that is best for everyone. If you cannot make it to the workshop, you’ll have access to the Zoom recording for 1 year, and you’ll have the 30 day post-workshop period to get any questions answered (and please ask every question you could think of, we’re so on your team!).

Yes, it will! If you cannot make the workshop or if you’d like to review the workshop (which most folks do!), you’ll have access to the live Zoom recording for 1 year.

Our Curate Week begins on November 6th, which is when the majority of our communication will begin. Prior to then and after your purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email of your purchase and an onboarding guide to give you your website planner, your North Ridge Template, help you log into Slack, and provide you with an outline of the coming time period.

In this program, you’ll be building a new website using our North Ridge template. So if you’d like to close down your current website and transfer that content to this new Squarespace 7.1 website, then Press Publish is a great option for you! We’ve had folks who are building their first website and folks who are transferring from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1 and people who just want a brand-new look. The best benefit of Press Publish is the confidence that comes from using the backend tools in a safe environment where you can explore with a guide. If that sounds beneficial to you, even if you have another website, we’d recommend joining Press Publish.

Victoria is the host for this round of Press Publish! You’ll have access to me via Slack for review on your content in the Curate Week and post-workshop for troubleshooting or review. The only live interaction you’ll have with me will be on Zoom! We’ll also be keeping questions and coaching related to website in particular, so any questions about marketing or business development or branding won’t receive the same attention as website-related questions.

We wanted to create a program that had all the benefit of learning as you do, with out the pitfalls of time and feeling like you don’t even know what you don’t know that comes with DIY. It’s the same as if you were doing all the homework in a class by yourself just by reading the textbook – “what am I supposed to know?” “will this be on the test?” – versus having an actual teacher to educate and equip you.

Slack is a messaging system like Teams (or AIM if you’re a Millennial like me!). We’ll use it to connect with one another in a group channel and in a private channel if you want personal review or questions. You can access Slack on your web browser, or download it as a desktop and phone app. We recommend the Desktop app for easiest use!
